You can manage the DNS entries in Cloudpit under [More] and then under [DNS-Management].
Here you can choose between two types of management: Automatic and Manual.
With automatic management, the entries are connected to the web hosting by default.
With the manual setting you can manipulate every DNS-entry and add new ones as well.
Here you can manage, create, delete and duplicate the DNS entries.
The following DNS entries are available to you:
DNS-entry (Ressource Record) | Beschreibung |
---|---|
A | ipv4-adress |
AAAA | ipv6-adress |
CAA | Certificate Authority Authorization |
CNAME | canonical name = alias for another subdomain without changing the IP-adress |
MX | mailserver |
SRV | Service (SRV) Ressource Record = Providing advanced services such as telephony, mail service, etc. with protocol announcement, weighting, etc. |
TXT | freely definable textentry |
You can change the name servers in the Change Name Server tab on the left.
Please note that the DNS entries of your domain can only be managed by easyname if the name servers of your domain are also configured to the Cloudpit name servers.
