Not always do you know exactly how many resources you need for a web project from the start - such requirements can fluctuate greatly over time. With all our own web hosting packages, it's always possible to upgrade or downgrade to a different web hosting contract - both through self-service and by emailing us at support@easyname.com.
The procedure for making such changes varies depending on whether you manage your web hosting through CloudPit or our legacy Control Panel.
1. Upgrades and Downgrades in CloudPit
If you manage your web hosting package through CloudPit, you can upgrade your package at any time through the web hosting administration menu. To do this:
1. Navigate to the administration interface as described in our article on finding things in CloudPit.
2. In the web hosting administration interface, click on the "Paket Upgrade" menu option to view available package upgrades.
3. Click on "Upgrade" to switch to a different package.
Downgrading your package is only possible by contacting our support team via email or phone. Please have your --> Telephone PIN ready, as we will need it to authorize the change.
2. Upgrades and Downgrades in Legacy Control Panel
In our legacy Control Panel, you can upgrade or downgrade your web hosting package at any time through our self-service portal. To do this:
1. Click on the "Upgrade" button on the start page of the web hosting menu, or
2. Click on the "Produkt verwalten" menu option.
Upgrades to the next largest contract are always possible immediately, while downgrades will take effect at the end of your current contract period. If you want to downgrade earlier, please contact us via email or phone.
Please have your --> Support-Pin ready, as we will need it to authorize the change.
