This article explains how you can request the free recovery of your domain as part of Domain Protection at easyname.
When can the recovery service be used?
The recovery service can be used if your domain was mistakenly deleted and recovery by the responsible registry is still possible.
The service applies to an active and paid Domain Protection contract. Additionally, it is valid up to 30 days after the contract ends, provided the Domain Protection contract was active and paid until then.
What is included in the recovery service?
If recovery is possible, easyname will carry out the recovery as well as cover the fees charged by the registry.
The recovery concerns the domain itself. Whether and to what extent additional services such as website content, email data, or DNS settings can be restored depends on the respective product, the technical status, and available backups.
How do I request recovery?
Recovery cannot be initiated directly in the Control Panel. Please contact our support via the contact options available in the Help Center.
Please provide the affected domain and a brief description of why recovery is needed.
What happens after the request?
Our support will check whether there is a valid Domain Protection contract for the affected domain and whether recovery is still possible with the responsible registry.
If recovery is possible, it will be initiated by easyname. If recovery is no longer possible, we will inform you of the response from the registry.
